About CPRS District II

The California Park & Recreation Society (CPRS) was established to provide citizens with the knowledge and resources to enhance their leadership role in creating community through people, parks, and programs. CPRS is organized geographically into districts and by special interest sections. Each district and section is governed by CPRS members who provide local and/or specialized training programs and networking opportunities at the community level.

Distict II is the largest geographical district in both Region 1 and CPRS, serving over 70 different agencies in 19 different counties: Alpine, Amador, Butte, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama, Yolo, and Yuba. District II Sections include: Administrators, Aquatics, Supervisors, Park Operations, Therapeutic Recreation, Student, Aging, and Educators.
