About Northern California Aquatic Management Association (NCAMA)

In November 1988 a small group of aquatic professionals gathered at the request of Greg Narramore, Aquatic Supervisor for the City of Sacramento to discuss the need for a specialized aquatic group in the Greater Sacramento Area. By early spring the group had thirty two agencies in attendance and had agreed to the name Northern California Aquatic Management Association (NCAMA).Today NCAMA has grown to encompass a larger geographic area that is centralized in the Sacramento area, but stretches to South Lake Tahoe, Redding, Davis, and Galt. It has formed a partnership with CPRS District II and its Board of Directors and has successfully added staff trainings, events, and activities for its membership.

Our Vision…
NCAMA is an organization supporting Northern California aquatic professionals and advocates by promoting professional career development, current safety practices, ongoing education and networking opportunities.

Benefits of being a NCAMA Member:

• Educational Opportunities
• Aquatic Safety Issues
• New Program Ideas
• Professional Development
• Part-time Staff Trainings
• Networking with Area Professionals

Member Guidelines:
Attending a minimum of three meetings is necessary to remain on the active membership list. Attendance to all NCAMA sponsored events is highly encouraged to gain the full benefit from the organization and its members.

Organization and development of surveys, reports, and aquatic trends are created and distributed to only those agencies that participate. It is highly beneficial to respond to any survey or report that is emailed to you as a member. All reports and surveys will be available at meetings only and not through email.

The success of NCAMA is due to YOUR involvement in meetings, trainings, events, and steering committee assistance. It is highly recommended that members get involved with the planning, promoting, and implementing of meetings and events.
Membership in NCAMA is encouraged for all levels of employees in aquatics.Meetings are open to Full-Time, Part-Time, and Seasonal employees. The Benefits are Endless!
